It needs to be removed, but you can do a lot of damage to the inner lock mechanism if you don’t know what you are doing, so it is best to leave it to the experts.

These tools minimise damage, and usually we can remove the broken key without the need for further lock repairs to be undertaken.

You will of course need another key to get in and hopefully you have a neighbor who looks after a spare key for you. We can also offer a key cutting service, however, this isn’t available on-site but we can take a master key away to be cut if required.
