An elderly couple in SO30 2SB, Hedge End, Southampton rang Lock It Security Locksmiths today as they had an emergency whereby they couldn’t fully engage their uPVC multipoint mechanism. They rang our emergency phone number as they’d read all our great online reviews so decided to use our lock repair service.

Faulty multipoint mechanism -
28 Year old jammed lock

On further investigation, once on site, we discovered that the multipoint mechanism was over 28 years old and had fully jammed up. After having a discussion with the customer, we decided to go for a full lock upgrade as their current multipoint mechanism was now obsolete and also didn’t comply with current insurance requirements.
As we’re a professional locksmith company we stock all the parts on our fully equipped van which enabled us to carry out the new lock upgrade straight away. We supplied and fitted a new full multipoint mechanism which now has a deadbolt, sprung handles & a TS007 snapsafe cylinder with 3 keys.
