Fully functional uPVC doors and windows are critical for the safety and convenience of your property and it is one of the first things you should check when you move. Recently, I had the opportunity to assist a customer who had just moved into her new house in Romsey. She reached out to Lock It Security to address some issues with the uPVC doors and windows, including being locked shut, stiff to open, and loose handles.
Upon arrival, I carefully assessed the condition of the doors and windows. To restore functionality and ensure the security of her home, I performed a series of necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
To start, I replaced the gearbox on the multi-point lock of the patio doors. Additionally, I replaced the handle to ensure smooth operation. By addressing these specific issues, I was able to get the patio doors up and running once again, providing easy access and enhanced security.
Next, I focused on realigning and servicing all the doors to ensure they operated smoothly. This involved making necessary adjustments to ensure proper alignment and conducting thorough maintenance to eliminate any stiffness or sticking issues.
A seized mechanism was also causing one of the windows to remain jammed shut. To resolve this, I carefully opened the window and replaced the faulty mechanism. As a result, the window is now working perfectly fine, ensuring proper ventilation and ease of use for the customer.
Lastly, I didn’t stop with just the patio doors and the jammed window. I took the opportunity to service all the other doors and windows in the property. By carrying out this maintenance, I ensured that all the doors and windows were operating smoothly, providing effortless functionality and peace of mind to the customer.
